Swaption is a community marketplace. To keep it safe, the items below may not be listed, swapped, or sold here. Listing a prohibited item gets the listing removed and may result in your account being suspended. Repeat or severe violations are reported to law enforcement. This list is not exhaustive — when in doubt, don't post it, or ask our team.

Illegal goods

  • Anything the seller cannot legally own, possess, sell, or transfer in either party's jurisdiction
  • Stolen property or items missing a clear chain of ownership
  • Items obtained through fraud or scams

Weapons & dangerous goods

  • Firearms, ammunition, magazines, suppressors, and gun parts of any kind
  • Knives marketed as weapons, switchblades, ballistic knives, brass knuckles, batons
  • Explosives, fireworks, pyrotechnics, and flammable accelerants
  • Tear gas, pepper spray, tasers, and other personal-defense weapons where restricted

Drugs & controlled substances

  • Recreational drugs, prescription medication, vapes, and drug paraphernalia
  • Tobacco, e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, and alcohol
  • Supplements making medical claims

Counterfeit, replica & infringing items

  • Counterfeit or fake-branded clothing, accessories, electronics, perfumes, or sneakers
  • Unauthorized reproductions of copyrighted media (cracked software, ripped media)
  • Items that bear another person's likeness without permission

Adult content

  • Pornography, sexual services, or sex toys with nudity in the photos
  • Any sexual content involving minors — this is reported to authorities immediately

Live animals & animal products

  • Live animals of any kind
  • Endangered species, ivory, taxidermy from protected species, untreated fur

Hateful or extremist content

  • Items promoting hate, harassment, terrorism, or violent extremism
  • Symbols or memorabilia of groups designated as terrorist or hate organizations

Safety-recalled or hazardous goods

  • Items currently under a manufacturer or government safety recall
  • Asbestos, radioactive materials, hazardous chemicals
  • Used cosmetics, used underwear, or used personal hygiene items

Regulated goods

  • Currency, cryptocurrency, gift cards above small amounts, lottery tickets
  • Human remains, organs, blood, or bodily fluids
  • Government IDs, badges, uniforms
  • Medical devices that require a prescription

Privacy & data

  • Personal data of third parties, scraped databases, account credentials
  • Surveillance devices marketed for covert recording
