Accessibility Statement

Effective August 3, 2026

Swaption, LLC wants every member to be able to browse, list, swap, and sell on Swaption. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with labeled form fields, headings, and landmarks.
  • Keyboard access to navigation, dialogs, and checkout, with visible focus states.
  • Colour contrast targets of at least 4.5:1 for body text in both light and dark themes.
  • Alternative text on meaningful imagery and icon buttons.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px and support browser zoom to 200%.
  • Accessibility review as part of our design and release process.

Built-in accessibility controls

Signed-in members can open Account → Accessibility to switch on:

  • Colour vision modes — deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia and monochrome palettes so no status is signalled by red/green alone.
  • High contrast mode — stronger text, borders and focus rings beyond the AA baseline.
  • Text size — enlarge all typography site-wide without breaking layout.
  • Reduce motion — disables animations and marquees (also honoured automatically from your operating system setting).
  • Always underline links — links never rely on colour alone.

A “Skip to main content” link is available as the first keyboard stop on every page, and Windows High Contrast / forced-colors mode is supported.

Known limitations

Some content is supplied by members — photos may lack descriptive alt text, and listing descriptions may not follow heading structure. Third-party components we embed (payment, identity verification, and shipping provider screens) are controlled by those providers and may vary in accessibility. We are working with them and improving our own screens continuously.
